Wooo....Today was amazing.
Dolphin Cove....White Sands, Clear waters, Green trees, and Sun!
On entering the park, they take a family photo of us for free, I'll find the CD with the photos on later and post the pictures.
We started off by having breakfast in the park (i'd give the breakfast 6/10)
Then we were off to get our swimsuites sorted, which took a little while as I couldnt get one that fitted a tall and thin person.
Our Dolphin Swim was arranged for 10:30 but they were running a little late because it was mating season for the dolphins. So we went and had a look round for a bit.
There are a few different pools there;
- The Coral Reef (a freezing pool with around 10,000 tropical fish in it)
- The Stingray Pool (another freezing cold pool full of stingrays)
- The general pool (which was nice and hot)
- The Lazy River (this is also quite warm. It has some nice scenery all the way around, full of palm trees, rocks, and some colourful birds...real ones)
- Then theres the Dolphin Cove which is where we swim with Dolphins.
Luckily we had all our family in our group. Our Dolphin was 4 years old and called Maria.
Due to it being mating season she would sometimes swim off to see what all the fuss was about with some of the other Dolphins.
There had also been a dolphin born there the day before we came, and another one 14 days earlier.
So we all really enjoyed the swim, and our dolpin was really playful.
After lunch we went to the Coral Reef which was freeeeeeeeezing!
but it was amazing seeing all the different types of fish, so many different colours, and some HUGE stingrays near the bottom of the reef.
There's also sharks and barracuda which were behind glass.
It's kind of scary when your swimming and you see a massive school of fish heading straight towards you! And unfortunatly my underwater camera housing didnt arrive in time so I could'nt record this.
Then there's the lazy river...where we we're lazy in a river (haha, my language & literacy skills are amazing!)
So overall it was an awesome (pronounced aresome, now you're a true yank!) day.
