Saturday...LAST DAY!!!

Hello!

Well...it's our last day here....we're gonna leave the villa around 4pm (6 hours to go)

Then it's an hour journey to the airport.
And I've heard the Sanford airport is slow moving and overall rubbish.
Then an 8 hour flight back home
Followed by a 2 hour journey from Manc to home!
*Sigh*

Have quite a bit to do in the 6 hours we have left, so bye bye!

Friday

Friday....Me, J&M + Kids went to GatorLand (the name is self explanatory).
Watched a few of the shows; and I wrestled an aligator just like good 'ol Steve!

So.....it's our last night here....and someone has drank all the beer and wine, so I'm making my last glass last!
Currently sitting outside by the pool. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Wednesday - Thursday

Wednesday me, mum n dad went back to SeaWorld to see the parts we missed last time, and we watched the Shamu show again!

Thursday...was another lazy day in the pool, followed by MGM studios at around 5pm where we watched a night time firework and lazer show which was v.good.

Tuesday....

What a scorcher it's been today!!

Been to Blizzard beach today which is a water park. and went on the fastest water ride in the world. My speed was 62mph down the slide, and i hurt my left butt cheek!

Then went to an Italian restaraunt called 'The Olive Garden', food was soooo nice.

And now it's 8:15pm and im shattered!

Monday...

Monday was another lazy day by the pool on a lilo....

And then we went out for a meal to a Japanese restaraunt where they cook the meals on you table and "make big japanese fire!"

Sunday....

We had a possum visit us last night, and it decided to stay round our place in the wheelie bin outside the villa. After a long lie-in it finally returned back to the trees.

Today we went to Animal Kingdom and saw some African animals.

We went on a Safari type thing which was a rather bumpy ride....saw elephants, some small giraffes, vultures, rhino, aligators, tortoise, wilderbeast and quite a few others but i can't remember the names.

Then during the day we also saw some of those brightly coloured frogs....the poisonous ones!

Some fish.......

The one, the only Rafiki!

Here's lunch

Tom touching the baby Aligator

Thought this would make a good desktop wallpaper so I took a photo

That's the new mount everest ride in the distance there

Me with a pirate

Me with Turk

Soph and Tom with Turk

These are from the Safari

I think these were some sort of vulture

Then we finished at Animal Kingdom and went to Downtown Disney which is loads of Disney shops and stuff.
And we ate at 'Planet Hollywood' which is like a movie version of Hard Rock Cafe. It was the largest Planet Hollywood in the world with 3 floors.

........and now im completely pooped!

Night Night!

(and start commenting as well!)

Saturday...

Had a day off today.....went to an outdoor Mall.....then came back and had a swim.

Friday......

Wooo....Today was amazing.

Dolphin Cove....White Sands, Clear waters, Green trees, and Sun!

On entering the park, they take a family photo of us for free, I'll find the CD with the photos on later and post the pictures.

We started off by having breakfast in the park (i'd give the breakfast 6/10)

Then we were off to get our swimsuites sorted, which took a little while as I couldnt get one that fitted a tall and thin person.

Our Dolphin Swim was arranged for 10:30 but they were running a little late because it was mating season for the dolphins. So we went and had a look round for a bit.

There are a few different pools there;
  • The Coral Reef (a freezing pool with around 10,000 tropical fish in it)
  • The Stingray Pool (another freezing cold pool full of stingrays)
  • The general pool (which was nice and hot)
  • The Lazy River (this is also quite warm. It has some nice scenery all the way around, full of palm trees, rocks, and some colourful birds...real ones)
  • Then theres the Dolphin Cove which is where we swim with Dolphins.
So finally it was our time to swim with a dolphin!
Luckily we had all our family in our group. Our Dolphin was 4 years old and called Maria.
Due to it being mating season she would sometimes swim off to see what all the fuss was about with some of the other Dolphins.
There had also been a dolphin born there the day before we came, and another one 14 days earlier.
So we all really enjoyed the swim, and our dolpin was really playful.

After lunch we went to the Coral Reef which was freeeeeeeeezing!
but it was amazing seeing all the different types of fish, so many different colours, and some HUGE stingrays near the bottom of the reef.
There's also sharks and barracuda which were behind glass.
It's kind of scary when your swimming and you see a massive school of fish heading straight towards you! And unfortunatly my underwater camera housing didnt arrive in time so I could'nt record this.

Then there's the lazy river...where we we're lazy in a river (haha, my language & literacy skills are amazing!)

So overall it was an awesome (pronounced aresome, now you're a true yank!) day.

The Bird Aviary:

This was part of the Discovery Cove park.
Erm....it had birds in it.

Thursday....

Today we went to SeaWorld.

The first show we watched was the 'Dolphin and Whale show' which was cool.
Take a guess what we saw there?

I dont think I gave that many photos of today, because it was all filmed on video camera so you'll have too wait for the DVD at the end.

The next show was the Shamu show, titled 'Beleive'. For those who don't know, Shamu is the world famous killer whale. We queued up for quite a while and ate nasty food in the queue but it was all worth it because the shows are amazing!

We also fed the dolphins fish. There were loads of people feeding them though, so you'd think the dolphins would be getting on the tubby side by now.

The last show we saw was a Seal show. There was this mimer guy before the show who was constantly taking the rip out of people in the audience as they walked by....this had dad in stitches, think it was his favourite.

Anyway, will try and fiind some photos of today.
We are going to Discovery Cove on Friday which is where we will swim with Dolphins and all those other tropical fish.

Apologies for any spelling mistakes, i dont have my glasses on and i cant be bothered to go find them lol

Wednesday...

We've been to Magic Kingdom today.....the one with the big Disney castle in it!

First we saw Rafiki (the monkey from Lion King) so we queued to have a photo. But unfortunatly Rafiki had to go for a poo poo but he returned 3 minutes later with Timon!!
Of course, I had to have a photo aswell.

Then we headed for the newly updated Pirates of the Caribbean ride, but I was too busy filming it that i missed most of the ride, so I might have to go on that one again in a few days.

After that we went for a boat trip around the 'Jungle' and saw some wild African animals, which were'nt real, but still...the scenery was nice.

Then we just went on the usual Disney stuff. I think we will be returning to Magic Kingdom maybe next week to watch one of the firework shows.

So after getting back to the villa we decided that we were standing out in the crowd too much with all the Americans so we ordered Dominoes Pizza to fatten us out.
